Kaieteur News – Two Venezuelan men are now in the lockups after police on Saturday last, found 42 kilograms of compressed marijuana at their home located at Johanna Cecelia, Essequibo Coast, Region Two.
Police in a statement said that ranks acting on intelligence, visited a house and conducted a search in the presence of the two men.
It did not take long for lawmen to unearth the illegal drugs compressed and wrapped in brown scotch tape. The suspects had reportedly stashed it in the ceiling of their home.
The marijuana was seized and both were arrested and taken to the Suddie Police Station where they were placed in the lock-ups pending charges.
