Dear Editor,
Kaieteur News – It should be of great concern to this nation and especially to the Law Enforcement personnel of Guyana that pensioners and elderly women are the latest victims of robbery and abuse by unscrupulous young men.
How depraved can a person be to rob and abuse a frail old lady of the only money, which she may have to buy food for herself for a month.
Have these young men no conscience. Instead of sending them to jail and wasting taxpayers money, they should be put to shame by being paraded through the streets with a microphone so that everyone will know who they are. I bet the robberies of our elderly citizens will soon stop.
Regards
Gloria Holder
