Kaieteur News – Playing at the Bartica Community Centre Ground, the Bartica Football Association’s (BFA) under-13 side defeated West Demerara under-13 2-0 last Saturday to book their place in the semifinal of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) boys under-13 Academy Training Center Trophy Challenge.Michael Joseph’s purple patch continued when he netted in the 14th minute of the match and an own goal in the 65th minute accounted for the second goal.
West Demerara didn’t give up and had several raids of Bartica’s final third but couldn’t find a piercing strike to open up the game.
At the end of the group round-robin stage, Bartica are at the pinnacle with nine points after winning three of their four games and losing one.
