Chairing the meeting was Frank ‘English’ Parris who briefed the team representative on the rules and what is expected of them with regards to being vaccinated and general operational procedures during the tournament.
Parris informed that all players, officials and fans would have to be vaccinated in order to be a part of the tournament which would be played on a strict knockout format. “The GFF, K&S and the Ministry of Health are working very closely to ensure that everyone being a part of this tournament is vaccinated in order to safeguard and secure you and your loved ones.
Those of you who are not yet vaccinated are being encouraged to do so, since, if you are not, you’ll not be a part of what we expect to be a fantastic and very competitive championship.”
The seasoned organiser told the clubs that a total of 32 teams would be vying for the top prize of One Million dollars, noting that information on the other prizes would be released in due course whilst stressing the need for all teams to be fully uniformed.
“I would like you to go back to your teams and spread the word, discuss the rules and be prepared for what would be a very competitive competition.”
He reiterated that the competition is knockout and teams should not leave any stone unturned in order to be fully prepared. The competition rules were also distributed. Parris shared that another meeting would be held in one week’s time.
