Kaieteur News – The South Turkeyen Sports Committee (STSC) will be hosting a 3-a-side small goal Football competition on Sunday at National Park starting at 07:00hrs. Among the teams set to participate are Buxton, Georgetown, Golden Grove, Melanie Damishana, Plaisance and Vryheid’s Lust. At stake are trophies, medals and cash prizes and entrance fee is $1,000.
Interested teams can contact Johnny ‘Overseas’ Barnwell on 691 9480. The event is being sponsored by Roysdale Forde, Darren Wade, Ken Phillips, Alfred Mentore and Carry Cargo. Players are asked to note that all covid-19 guidelines will be followed.
STSC will also be hosting Billiards as well as a King and Queen Dominoes competitions at Guyana Legion’s Hall, tomorrow (Friday). The Billiards competition will commence at 12:00hrs and attracts an entrance fee of $2,000 while the Dominoes event will get underway at 17:00hrs and fetches an entrance fee of $1,000.
At stake in both competitions are trophies and cash prizes sponsored by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Johnny Barnwell and Beck Lumber Yard.
