Dear Editor,
Currently I believe Mr. Harmon is best suited to be the Leader of the PNC/R political party, after considering all the factors. It is obvious a lot of thought and effort went into his campaign announcement. The agenda outlined seem more exciting and hopeful with an updated strategy, promising to advocate more for the voting public.
If successful in becoming party leader, Mr. Harmon would replace former President Mr. Granger, who got the PNC/R to the promise land -elected in 2015 after the party being in the wilderness for many years, with the support and backing of the Western International Community to stabilise the security situation, and improve the foreign investment climate.
Like we know from history, foreign powers can back you to gain political wins but it’s up to you, if you want to stay in and retain power. It is never easy for a prized champion to walk away from the game. There is still a part for the former President to play in the party, especially during election campaigning season
I also endorse Mr. Roysdale Forde to be Chairman and Executive Member of the PNC/R. Mr. Forde is primed for this leadership role to help guide the PNC/R into the future, and is a cut above most when he speaks on behalf of the PNC/R political party. Mr. Forde is fully equipped to address the tough issues, is a skillful negotiator, solid decision maker, who has a lot of experience to interact with the other political parties and can navigate disapproval of policies and actions, instead of confrontation while getting the attention of the PPP/C, while being assertive.
