Dear Editor,
Freddie Kissoon is at it again. He never gives up. Despite labelling him a liar for perpetuating for more than 25 years the falsehood that I sued him for libel in the 1990s, he has not relented. In his article on Sunday last (“Dear Mr. Ramkarran, be careful”) he once again repeats this lie. He stuck it in at the bottom of the article, presumably hoping that it may not be noticed or that no one will take it seriously. I have publicly challenged him by way of a letter to KN to produce the writ and other court documents that have to be filed and served in a suit. I have advised him that copies would be available from the Supreme Court Registry, if he cannot retrieve his own. But he refuses to do so and, as soon as he believes the public has forgotten, he repeats the lie. Other lies against my family have been perpetuated by Kissoon for years, until he was threatened with legal proceedings by one of them.
The publisher of Kaieteur News, Mr. Glenn Lall, knows of Kissoon’s lie, but chooses to allow him to perpetuate them. Daily, Mr. Lall rants and raves about lying politicians, but approbates, supports, pampers and encourages a favoured member of his staff, Freddie Kissoon, to continue this lie against me, for whatever reason. On principle, I will never allow Kissoon and Lall to get away with this lie by remaining silent, for as long as it takes.
Ralph Ramkarran
Editor’s note: Freddie Kissoon HAS NOT been given carte blanche to perpetuate endless lies and, therefore, has been asked to respond to your allegation. He has furnished an apology as seen below.
