Kaieteur News – The unflinching and committed support of athletes especially in the weights sports by Fitness Express continues to be maintained even in these challenging times.
Managing Director of Fitness Express, Jamie McDonald continues to live through to his company’s commitment of empowering athletes to excel and has even expanded this support; the latest beneficiaries being Rosanna Fung and Nicholas Albert who are set to represent Guyana at the IFBB 48th Central American & Caribbean Bodybuilding Championships to be held in San Salvador, El Salvador, from August 12 – 16.
The event which would be hosted by the Salvadorian Federation of Bodybuilding & Associated Sports (FSFC) will attract the best of the best in the Caribbean and Central America with the Guyanese confident of medaling.
McDonald shared that Fitness Express was proud to continue their partnership with the athletes and is wishing the Guyanese contingent the very best at this year’s competition.
“We at Fitness Express understand the challenges that our athletes encounter when it comes to preparation for these elite competitions. It is never easy as it takes a lot of discipline and sacrifice to be in the best possible shape in order to medal, so in whatever way we can assist, we do. In this instance, we assist with supplements as we have been doing for years and we are proud to chip in as it is our way of empowering these guys to do themselves and this nation proud.”
Both athletes expressed gratitude to McDonald and Fitness Express for the support which they said has aided their preparation to make Guyana proud come next weekend in San Salvador.
The registration and weigh-in of the athletes will take place on Friday, August 13 from 13:30hrs at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Guyana would be represented by six athletes.
