Dem Boys Seh…
Kaieteur News – De govment gat more rules dan all de tea in China. Dem does call it regulations.
When de Pee N See bin in power if yuh want leff Guyana pun a lil holiday yuh use to have to get something called a tax clearance.
Dem boys know nuff people wah leff and still owe tax.
All dah rule bin do was encourage corruption because once yuh know somebody inside de tax department yuh could arrange fuh tax clearance fuh leff de country.
If yuh leffin de country and yuh gat a few US dollars yuh gat to get permission from Bank of Guyana fuh carry out duh money. De small man bin gat to hide he lil currency while dem big one getting dem letter from de Bank of Guyana fuh pass through de airport.
Desmond Hoyte realise too late dat all dem regulations only encouraging corruption and so he abolish dem.
But he bin leff a couple wah de Pee Pee Pee gladly continue. It does help dem friends so dem nah change it. If yuh want a govment contract, yuh gat to get a tax compliance fuh show yuh taxes in order or yuh mek arrangements fuh put it in order. And yuh also gat to show dat yuh NIS affairs in order.
Nuff small people nah able bid for govment wuk because dem gat dispute with de taxman or NIS. But some big ones does get dem compliance.
Dem boys pass yesterday by de COVID-19 vaccination centre at de hospital and dem boys see dem bench empty. So dem boys know dat vaccination slowing down and people nah going fuh dem vaccines.
But dem boys know dat if yuh want leff Guyana yuh gat to get vaccinated. So what wrang with de govment saying dat nobody muss get govment wuk unless dem get vaccinated. If yuh want passport yuh must get vaccinated. If yuh applying fuh ID card, yuh must get vaccinated and if yuh lose yuh birth certificate, no replacement until yuh get vaccinated.
And yuh can’t go into no govment office unless yuh vaccinated. Dat seems only fair to protect de people.
Talk half and wait fuh de critics.
