Kaieteur News – Too many people dying in Guyana from de effects of stab wounds. Every two marnin’ yuh reading about somebody get stab up. And dis happening since Guyana was a colony. Is like we like to juk up people.
Is nat like other countries nah gat stabbing. In fact, one man in de USA ask he friend, “Did you hear about that Hollywood actress who was stabbed? What was her name again?? Reece something…”
De friend answer, “Witherspoon?”
“No, with a knife!” replied de man.
Dem gat stabbing all over but Guyana beat all dem country when it comes to stabbing.
Last Friday, dem boys hear how a man fatally stab he brother.
Deh gat nuff people walking de streets with ice pick and knife in dem waist. Dem boys want know why de police nah stopping more people and tekkin’ away these dangerous weapons. And when de police do stop dem wah gat Rambo knife and ask dem wah dem doing with it, dem seh how dem is use it fuh peel mango.
If all dem knife had circular or blunt tips, we might a save more lives. But den again dem boys would a mek knife and ice pick out of dem same knives by filing down de tips.
One day a woman call she husband and ask he, “Do you ever get a shooting pain across your body, like someone’s got a voodoo doll of you and they’re stabbing it?”
De concerned man replied, “No…”
She responded, “How about now?”
