Kaieteur News – Kwame McCoy, Minister within the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibility for Public Affairs, commenced the Introduction to Communications Training Programme for State media workers at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre, yesterday.
The Minister thanked the representatives of the State media entities for making the sacrifice to better their knowledge in media relations. He noted that there are five other training programmes, which are designed for specific areas of communications, social media, broadcasting etc.
Kaieteur News understands that the training targets hinterland radio announcers and volunteers, public relations officers, regional information officers, content developers, journalists and feature writers operating in the State media.
Participants will be trained in the areas of Research and Writing, Interviewing, Production and Presentation, Broadcasting, Film, Public Relations and Communication.
