Kaieteur News – Despite the many constraints of competing on the International Arena without a network of support Archery Guyana Devin Persaud Permaul recorded his best score in an international competition to date.
Unfortunately in the elimination round, our Guyanese Archer went against a competitor from Thailand where it came close at 4 vs 4 but in the end Thailand was victorious. Regrettably this meant the end of a glorious run by Devin Persaud Permaul in his participation in the Olympic Qualification process.
For the World Cup in the Qualifier, Devin shot an impressive 615 which put him at 106 and just outside the bracket for elimination. According to Devin, “It’s a punishing sport and can demoralize but I will push through and continue to get better.”
The Board of Directors wishes Devin Permaul all the best and urges him as we set our sights on Olympics 2024.
