Kaieteur News – Warner Brothers of region six have secured their place in the final of the WeCare Inter Region Independence 10/10 Softball Cricket Cup which continued on Sunday last at Goed Bananen Land in Canje.
Warner Brothers beat Rohan Auto Spares of region four by 18 runs.
Warner Brothers batted first and score 88 for 4 off their reduced quota of six overs. Martin Singh top scored with 28, David Lukenauth and Eon Hooper made 10 each.
Rohan Auto Spares replied with 70 for 5. L. Alphonso scored 49. Martin Singh was named man of the match.
Shieldstown of region five defeated Spartan Strikers of Region six by 35 runs.
Shieldstown batted first and scored 102 for 1 off 6 overs with Zaheer (only name provided) made 78 and was named man of the match. Spartan replied with 67 all out off 5.1 overs.
Young Guns of region four beat Bath Young Guns of region 5 by six wickets.
Bath Young Guns took first strike and scored 58 for 7 off six overs. Z. Khan scored 12. Chandar (only name given) claimed 3-3 to take the man of the match award.
Young Guns of Region 4 responded with 59 for 4 off 5.2 overs.
Warner Brothers overcame Shieldstown by 71 runs. Warner Brothers batted first and scored 106 for 4 off five overs. L. Sampson made 51.
Sheildstown responded with 35 for 4. Eon Hooper captured 3-13. Sampson took the man of the match prize.
Warner Brothers beat Young Guns of Region 4 by 23 runs. Warner Brothers batted first and scored 83 for 4 off five overs. J. Sampson made 30, K. Gangaram 17 and David Lukenauth 10.
Young Guns of Region four replied with 40 for 6. K. Sinclair took 3-15 and was named man of the match.
