University of Guyana students, Joshua Edward and Antel John flanked by Flexx Nation, members and supporters during the handing over of the cheques.
Kaieteur News – Two University of Guyana students, Joshua Edward, a final year law student and Antel John, a first year law student, now have tuition covered for a year as a result of the generous donations of members of Flexx Nation, a group formed by New York-based Guyanese to help provide online musical entertainment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The group started by DJ Flexx and Senior Manager at UPS, Royce Doorn and Federal IT Contractor/Consultant and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Southern Systems Inc. Karl Moore, has since blossomed into a social movement with an administrative board established to oversee projects aimed at assisting families in Guyana.
So far, in addition to the UG students, Flexx Nation has made a donation of GYD$1.5M worth of appliances, as well as medical and other assistance to the family of the murdered Henry cousins in Berbice.
