DEAR EDITOR,
Ms. Amanza Walton-Desir needs to apologise for her wicked and scurrilous attack on Indo Guyanese. Failing which, she must resign from parliament as a PNC MP. What is most obvious is the new breed of upcoming black leaders who are rabidly anti-Indian and have found harbour in the WPA and PNC camps. One is reminded of national poet’s Martin Carter, “I come from the nigger yard” poem. I come from the nigger yard of yesterday, / leaping from the oppressors hate, / and the scorn of myself / from the agony of the dark hut in the shadow and the hurt of things / from the long days of cruelty and the long nights of pain / down to the wide streets of tomorrow, of the next day / leaping I come, who cannot see will hear.
Ms. Walton-Desir is just a misguided person and needs to come to her senses.
Yours truly,
Sultan Mohamed
