Kaieteur News – Cops on Saturday recaptured Kevin LaFleur, 25, a robbery convict who had sprinted through some bushes after escaping the Mazaruni Prison on April 9, last.
According to a police report, ranks had received information, which led them to where the fugitive was hiding. LaFleur was found in a house alone at Ankerville, Port Mourant, Berbice.
He was recaptured and taken into police custody at the New Amsterdam Police Station.
During the time of his escape, LaFleur was serving a 56 month jail sentence for robbery under arms.
