Kaieteur News – Everest Cricket Club Masters defeated Wakenaam Masters by five wickets when the teams collided in a T20 fixture on Sunday last at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground. Batting first, Wakenaam Masters managed 129 for 9. Imran Khan struck four fours and six sixes in a top score of 65 while Siddiq Mohamed made 17 with two fours and one six.
Anand Persaud picked up 4 – 12 including a hat-trick, while Amir Khan took 2-14 and Randy Lindore 2 – 23. Everest Masters responded with 134 for 5. Gavin Singh slammed three fours and one six in scoring 49 not out while Khan scored 36 including two fours and four sixes and Imtiaz Sadik 29 with two fours and one six.
Anand Persaud was named man-of-the- match. The game was sponsored by Safraz Sheriffudeen of V-Net Communications.
