Kaieteur News – After defeating D’ Edwards Cricket Club and Paradise Cricket Club respectively, arch rivals Blairmont and Achievers would clash in the final of the BCB organised Brian Ramphal/ West Berbice Under19 tournament. The match would be played at the Cotton Tree Ground today 27th of February and with both teams been strong on paper, a close match is expected.
Blairmont would be led by national junior player Marvon Prashad and he would be supported by Farook Subhan, Anthony Sukhra, Satyah France and Shreedat Roopnarine. Achievers’ efforts would be spearheaded by skipper Jayden Samuels, Berbice youth player Collis Noble, Midel Miller and Collis Hardcourt.
BCB President Hilbert Foster stated that the Brian Ramphal West Berbice Under19 tournament is among four that would be organised around the county. The others are the Rickey Itwaru Lower Corentyne, Ahmad Construction Upper Corentyne and Premium Asphalt New Amsterdam/Canje.
Both teams are reminded that all players shall be attired in whites, wear a face masks in the pavillion and practice social distancing. Players shall have to walk along with their own drinking water and hand sanitizers. The match starts at 9.30am.
