Letter to the Sports Editor…
Dear Sports Editor,
Kaieteur News – It appears that the Government’s Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports has made efforts to facilitate cricket, football, lawn tennis; this is a laudable approach. What plans does the Ministry have in relation to the use of the existing swimming facilities which lie dormant even though there are reasonable to useful approaches to having this avenue i.e; swimming for addressing the fitness and health of our youth.
Certainly, efforts should be made and information provided to the public and to the various swimming organisations including GASA for the use of the swim facilities. Swim Clubs, I am certain, are eager to get their wards in the pools.
Over to you Mr. Minister.
Best regards,
Fan of Swimming.
