Dear Editor,
Kaieteur News – Permit me this intervention, which is informed by the twin pillars of Honesty and Integrity.
The esoteric David Granger and his ‘alter ego’ (Harmon) not only contrived to destroy both the PNC/R and the AFC but have also ruined the lives of many persons – in addition to the attendant ripple effect associated with such demise. Indeed, what price empowerment?
They have both – albeit with the benefit of hindsight –been catapulted beyond the levels of their competence and capacity. While one seems dazed and lost and has not yet found his role or purpose, the other can be categorized as intellectually hollow, mundane, lacking the nimbleness of thought but corruptly intelligent in the division of politics.
The Opposition is devoid of cognitive ability, lacks scholarship, with sparse debating skill and possessing of a meager analytical mindset to facilitate the development of stratagems with which to confront the levers of governance.
The preference of parliamentary picks seriously reflects a paucity of choice. Why ostracize the likes of Vanessa Kissoon, Aubrey Norton, Vincent Alexander, Sherwood Lowe, David Hinds, Tacuma Ogunseye, Volda Lawrence and others who have proved themselves tried and tested political apparatchiks.
It begs the question, “Quo vadis?” Perhaps the answer is “Oblivion” unless an exit strategy is adopted in order to repair the damage and commence the process of reconstruction.
Yours truly,
Morris Baker
