Kaieteur News – Come December 12th the Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation and Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport collaborated bodybuilding and fitness competition will be staged at the National Culture Centre.
The event will be live streamed and held under strict covid-19 protocols with Athletes, backstage personnel and the executive of the GBBFF required to stand 6 feet apart from each other. While backstage, athletes will be required to wear their masks and to maintain the mandatory physical distancing. Judges will be seated 6 feet from each other and will be required to wear their masks.
Culture, Youth and Sport Minister Charles Ramson Jr. Tuesday made a donation to the GBBFF to aid the effective staging of the event.
Fans at home will see competition in the: Bodybuilding Light weight (all athletes at 165 pounds and lower), Bodybuilding Heavy weight (all athletes at 166 pounds and higher), Bikini and Men’s Physique.
Guest Poser is Reigning CAC Gold Medalist, several times Mr. Guyana Champion and one of Guyana’s top elite athletes Mr. Kerwin Clarke.
Prizes will see the top three finishers of each segment receiving cash prizes as follows:
1st Place: $100,000
2nd Place: $70,000
3rd Place: $50,000
And the overall winner of the Bodybuilding segments will receive $200,000.
