Micquel Perez is new MSC Chairman

aieteur News – Micquel Perez was elected Chairman of the Matarkai Sports Council (MSC) when the body held its annual general meeting and elections on Sunday last at Port Kaituma Community Centre, Region one.
Janice Moses will serve as Vice Chairperson, Linden Green Secretary, Anetta Blair Assistant Secretary, Rohilda Mendonca Treasurer, Linden Green Assistant Treasurer, Anetta Blair Public Relations Officer and former Chairman Sherlon Rodrigues Assistant Public Relations Officer.
One Committee member was elected from Baramita, Matthews Ridge, Arakaka, FallsTop, Four Miles, Oronoque, One Mile, Citrus Grove, Canal Bank and Sebai.
The Election was witness by the Matarkai NDC Chairman Mr. Orlando Thorne and RDC Councillor Ms. Margaret Lambert.
According to Assistant Public Relations Officer Sherlon Rodrigues, the new Executive hit the ground running as the team visited Citrus Grove Playfield along with the Regional Engineer and NDC Overseer. The upgrading of the facility is expected to commence soon with one million dollars which was given to the community by the NDC.
Mr. Ryan James Culture and Youth Officer was the Returning Officer.
