Nov 10, 2020 Letters
Dear Editor
I want to first of all thank you and by extension, Kaieteur News, for allowing me a space in your letter column.
First of all, even though it is old news now, I would like to officially congratulate Comrade Irfaan Ali and the PPP/C for their victory at the March 2, 2020 polls.
I would like to also wish the previous government well as they regroup and restore some trust amongst the Guyanese people, at home and abroad.
I wish to add my voice to the group of very vocal and concerned Guyanese with reference to the giveaways of our oil blocks.
From all indications, there seems to be alleged wrongdoings on the part of the two previous administrations.
President Ali must set up an independent COI to deal with all allegations and giveaways with respect to our oil and other natural resources immediately. That is the only way these allegations will be put to rest and Guyanese will be comfortable. All perpetrators must also face the full force of the law if found guilty regardless of their political affiliation.
Deav J.
