Coronavirus: Treatment options that could prevent you from dying or becoming hospitalized

Like many countries, we are faced with the challenge of preventing too many hospitalizations and deaths from Covid-19. While the obvious way to do this is practicing preventative measures, there will be failures and persons will end up with the disease. Our next goal should therefore be focused on preventing patients from getting the severe form of the disease and therefore, avoid hospitalizations and deaths. Today, I will focus on treatments that have been proven in studies to work in preventing hospitalizations and deaths from Covid-19 once used EARLY in the disease. Early means as soon as symptoms develop; most doctors recommend before day five of the disease. I would therefore recommend that you consult with your doctor as soon as you have suspicious symptoms and ask if you can be started on the treatments below even before you get tested.
Ivermectin
Ivermectin has become the super drug against the coronavirus. More studies are emerging showing the drastic benefits of Ivermectin in reducing death rates in Covid-19 patients when used early. Some studies have shown 100% survival rate when used properly and early in the disease. Lab studies have confirmed that it kills the virus within 48 hours of coming in contact with it and it is therefore the most effective when used early. Ivermectin has a strong safety profile and has been used previously for mass drug distribution in Guyana therefore worry about side effects is minimal.
Azithromycin
Azithromycin is an antibiotic widely used for respiratory tract infections and has a good safety profile. While it is an antibiotic, recent evidence is showing benefits in outcomes of Covid-19 patients when used with Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin early in the Covid-19 infection. Issues with side effects are minimal as most patients tolerate it well with little to no side effects.
Preparing the immune system with Vitamins C, D and Zinc
Essential nutrients including vitamins are vital in helping our immune system fight off infections. Like other viral infections, we depend on our immune system to do the majority of the fighting against the Covid-19 infection. Many studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of Vitamins C and D and zinc against other coronaviruses and viral infections. Common sense will dictate that the more prepared our immune system, the better we will be able to fight off the coronavirus. Evidence is now emerging that patients using Vitamins C, D and zinc are having better outcomes with Covid-19. What is even more surprising, is the fact that these essential nutrients seem to have a more beneficial effect when used with the medications described in today’s article.
Hydroxychloroquine
The debate is still hot on whether hydroxychloroquine is beneficial in Covid-19. While my opinion on it has weakened a bit, I have still included it as there is still reliable data showing that it prevents the virus from entering our cells and prevent the severe form of Covid-19. It is therefore useless to use it in hospitalized patients when enough of the virus has already entered the body. Most studies that have debunked its benefits were done in hospitalized patients when it is already too late to use hydroxychloroquine. The goal here is to use it early once you do not have any heart condition.
I am of the firm opinion that these treatments once used early, can prevent deaths and hospitalizations. I have personally treated approximately 15 patients early with the combination and have not had any hospitalization or death. This virus is sneaky and pounces on us in ways that we do not even realize. There will be lapses, and as a result, there will continue to be new cases of Covid-19. If we avoid hospitalizations and deaths, we will prevent the system from becoming overwhelmed and we can continue to survive as a society. If you or someone you know have suspicious symptoms of Covid-19, do not hesitate to ask your doctor for these treatment options as it may be the difference between life and death.
