Kaieteur News – The Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 37 new COVID-19 cases yesterday taking the total number of confirmed cases to 3,329. This information was presented in the Ministry’s daily dashboard update which also states that there are currently 16 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
Further, the dashboard revealed that 151 persons are in institutional isolation, 896 are in approved home isolation and 66 are in institutional quarantine.
The COVID-19 death toll remains at 98 and a total of 2,165 persons have recovered.
The dashboard’s regional distribution of confirmed cases shows Region One with 521 cases, Region Two- 46 cases, Region Three- 248 cases, Region Four- 1,551 cases, Region Five- 19 cases, Region Six- 50 cases, Region Seven- 314 cases, Region Eight- 97 cases, Region Nine- 364 cases and Region Ten- 119 cases.
To date, 15,450 persons have been tested for the novel Coronavirus and of this number 12,121 tested negative. Of all the confirmed cases 1,770 are males and 1,559 are females.
