Four arrested as crossbow, guns, found in Corentyne home
Police in Berbice, led by a senior officer, yesterday executed a search operation at Number 78 Village, Upper Corentyne, Berbice and discovered three guns, ammunition and other items.
According to a police source, police received a tip-off and swooped down at a house in Number 78 Village.
There, a search was carried out and a crossbow with telescopic sight, two pistols and a shotgun were discovered.
Also found was a small quantity of ammunition, among other items.
Four persons who were present during the search were subsequently arrested and the guns, ammunition and items were lodged. The guns were unlicensed.
Charges are expected to be laid shortly.
