DEAR EDITOR,
I, Jagnarine Singh, Bsc, MSc., the former head of the Guyana Rice Development Board, member of the PPP/C, completely and unequivocally disown the letter titled “The Honeymoon Period Is Over For Government” published in Kaieteur News on 20th August 2020.
That Jagnarine Singh, is sadly a disgruntled and misled individual who clearly hasn’t spent a minute in government. His assumptions are based on the fact once His Excellency Dr. Irfaan Ali was sworn in as president everything would have been reset to prior 2015. Let me assure you I have every confidence in every decision taken thus far from the Executive Body of the People’s Progressive Party. Had I any complaint about anything, my platform to speak would not be Kaieteur News, but my party’s structure and reach out directly to the General Secretary.
I would further like to emphasize how the press has a duty to ensure when it is publishing it does so as accurately as possible. I’m sure Kaieteur News jumped at the opportunity to use my name in this manner, I would urge them to verify next time.
A proud PPP member
Jagnarine Singh
EDITOR’S NOTE: Please be advised the letter was published with no malice intended, and, as you made pellucid, the letter writer, who is identically named, is not otherwise identical.
