DEAR EDITOR,
Help and Shelter condemns in the strongest possible terms the 26 July arson attack on the Guyana Human Rights Association building – the latest in the spate of such attacks during the last few weeks that must be attributed to the current tense political situation.
Arson is a cowardly act and an attack on a non-governmental organisation that has defended and promoted our human rights for over 40 years is utterly heinous.
We extend our sympathy to and stand in solidarity with the GHRA.
Yours faithfully,
Gaitrie Shivsankar
