The inaugural Karan Kumar Persaud memorial dominoes competition has been set for August 9 at Devin/Chagel sports bar, Play Field Street, Tuschen Housing Scheme, East Bank Essequibo.
The competition which is being organised by Yugesh Persaud is expected to attract teams from Wakenaam, Tuschen, Greenwich Park and Parika. Entrance fee is $4,000.
According to the organiser, the competition will be held annually and a keen contest is expected. Interested teams can contact Persaud on 693-1135 for registration. Karan Kumar Persaud was a former Wakenaam businessman.
