Guyana has been seeing steady increases in the number of positive COVID-19 cases.
To date, the national figures stands at 327 confirmed cases of the virus.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Public Health updated its COVID-19 dashboard confirming another seven positive cases bringing the national statistics to the 327 cases.
The Ministry had reported approximately 50% recovery rate of all cases. Some 163 persons have so far recovered from the infection while there have been 19 fatalities.
Further, the number of persons in institutional quarantine has increased to 13 while 145 persons remain in institutional isolation.
Additionally, five persons are currently in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Regions One, Four and Seven accounts for the highest number of infections.
