DEAR EDITOR,
I am no legal person, not even so trained. So I am at a loss to understand why the meeting slated for GECOM on Tuesday, 14 July could not proceed court filing or not.
The meeting it seems, from reports was properly called, and the report was enquired into from CEO. At this point it is alleged pro-government commissioners chose not to be a part of the meeting, citing the court filing.
The meeting being properly called then, in my humble opinion, should have proceeded, as there was no legal impediment barring the meeting from proceeding.
Did the chair err in not nullifying March 13 results earlier, which she held in abeyance?
Is there a ploy afoot to have the chair resigned on her own volition as she was unable to conclude elections in a timely manner? If this is so then a constitutional crisis develops and the incumbent will then have prudency to declare state of emergency.
