The United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee has thrown their support behind the State Department’s move to impose sanctions on key officials in the de facto Granger administration for their role in electoral fraud.
Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman, Jim Risch tweeted just moments ago “I applaud @StateDept’s actions today to hold accountable Guyanese officials who have undermined democracy & delayed results from #Guyana’s March elections.”
Senator Risch added “It’s long past time Guyanese authorities begin a democratic transition of power that reflects the confirmed results.”
