Police were called to remove the partly decomposed body of an unidentified man from the Rambarran Wharf, New Hope, East Bank Demerara yesterday afternoon.
The discovery was made at around 14:30hrs by persons who were traversing the area.
Police said that the victim is of African ancestry. He was clad in a pair of jeans. Ranks also described the dead man as being of medium build and sporting short dreadlocks.
There were no visible marks of violence and the body was taken to the Lyken Funeral Home.
