The Editor,
On behalf of our native nine tribal ancestral peoples, The Amerindians, with reference to the political situation in Guyana, I am calling on caretaker President David Granger and retired Justice Claudette Singh, Chairwoman of the Guyana Election Commission (GECOM) to make assurances and acceptance for the Carter Center to be returned to Guyana to participate for the observance of the recounts of Guyana’s General Election held on Monday March 2, 2020, so that the election recounts will prevail by a system of transparency and credibility, including a nationwide live screening for the public since only a transparent credible recount can be accepted.
Yours truly
Dennis Abraham –
A native of the Arawak Tribe of Moruka
