DEAR EDITOR,
The Cooperative Republicans of Guyana (CRG) is not Capitalist, Socialist nor Communist. It is a Party that leverages the best practices of the various Economic Models depending on the best fit for the particular circumstances at the time. Thus having a vision that offers substantial flexibility while endearing itself to win-win partnerships across the spectrum. Hopefully many citizens will consider CRG their party of choice in the near future.
When reflecting on our current political impasse and the economic policies over the last 50 years, it is evident that the tension in Parliament is also a result of opposing economic policies. The traditional structure of communism, socialism and capitalism has restrained the economic growth of our country due to inflexibility in policy application. For this and many other reasons CRG has taken a position that leverages best fit and best practice for particular circumstance to ensure future opportunities are not wasted, and that these opportunities continue to be in the long term best interest of our citizens.
For this very reason CRG stands in a unique position of high flexibility which allows the Party to fill the gaps that other traditional economic postures and philosophies have created. These inflexible postures have resulted in inherent weaknesses and the current pandemic is a great example of one size not fitting all circumstances.
CRG looks forward to the opportunity to add value to our nation, while reducing the level of philosophical conflict that has historically plagued our nation’s economic development.
Best regards,
Mr. Jamil Changlee
Chairman
The Cooperative Republicans of Guyana
