DEAR EDITOR,
Permit me the space to air my views on the recent jiggery pokery, yes, it is what it is.
“Director-General of the Ministry of the Presidency, Joseph Harmon defended government’s hiring of the lobbying firm, on the grounds that the administration has a duty to defend the government and Guyana.”
This is a nightmare. This is a perfect example of the term “clutching at straws”.
Unfortunately, this is de-jà-vu. If you’ve never read the declassified files on Guyana’s history, then this is the time to do so.
We have made a mistake, more so, I have made a mistake when I placed this current, de facto government into power in 2015.
I greatly regret it and it’s a mistake I’ll never make again and I will make sure my future generations are well educated on the atrocities of this rotten cabal.
You have stooped so low within that hole you have dug for yourself. This nation just sees you as a bunch of tyrants, thugs, oppressors, incompetent, dictatorial misfits.
There is scorn in this society and the parasites will suck this nation dry with no shame. You call yourselves leaders? You lack basic morals and ethical principles.
Every single sentence of that disgraceful, Machiavellian document is a spit in the face of this nation and her democracy.
Your chronological account of the election events are erroneous and you were dotish enough to include images of Form 24 with Volda Lawrence’s signature twice on pages 95 and 127 respectively. It brainlessly states that Granger is a United State citizen on page 135.
The Dossier of Guyana Election 2020 has exposed your weakness.
At least your forgotten PNCR leader, L.F.S Burnham was approached by the USA back in 1966-67.
Do you think they will bat an eye at you and your cabal after you have publically asked that leading nation to “stay out of our business, we can handle things ourselves”?
Who poses more of a geo-political threat to this nation when such statements are blurted out of prominent PNCR loyalists?
I pray that this nation, her people and more so the USA can see through this attempt to further hold 700,000 persons at hostage. I am sure the right thing will be done.
President Granger issued a statement stating, in summary, that he was not aware of the submission of the dossier.
It was not done on behalf of Guyana or a government (although the document said so) and that the country did not pay for it.
I have this to say.
Mr. President has basically withdrawn himself from the atrocities of his right hand man, Joseph Harmon. Is this genuine or is this his way of saving himself? I think that it’s a way to save himself.
The president should know that the administration is compounding or adding to the dilemma we are in.
What do you have to say for yourself? Why isn’t there any press conference with you?
My Guyanese brothers and sisters, it’s about time we lead ourselves or have legitimacy.
It’s about time we stand up.
My people are not about that life and my generation is here to make that difference we want to see. Let’s do right by our conscience and most importantly, let’s keep moving forward.
Dr. Josh Kanhai
