DEAR EDITOR,
He was a Labour Leader genuinely committed to the Working Class. His endeavours to help the poor, in many cases quietly, are legendary. We worked together seeking solutions rather than confrontations.
He belonged to an era that is swiftly passing. I respected this man as a Trade Unionist and as a Principled Man.
My sympathy to his family and his Union. May he rest in peace.
Keith Scott
