Pooran, Ramnarine win Bhagelu pool tourney
Navishaul Pooran and Vickram Ramnarine emerged champions of the Throlokie Bhagelu pool competition which was contested yesterday at Carlosh Sports Bar in Good Success, Wakenaam.

Pooran and Ramnarine teamed up to beat Amit Ramnarine and Vijay Persaud by five points as they finished the final round with 15 ahead of their rivals on 10.
The final was contested over three rounds of games with Amit Ramnarine and Persaud winning the first round by 15 points to 12. Pooran and Vickram Rambarine came back to win the second round 15-14, before prevailing in the final round.
Earlier, Pooran and Vickram Ramnarine overcame Keval Persaud and Arshad Aslam 15-12, 15-10, 15- 12. Amit Ramnarine and Vijay Persaud beat Mahadeo Ramdeo and Ejaz Mohamed 15-11, 15-13, 15-12.
Proprietor of Carlosh Sports bar, Amit Ramnarine congratulated the winners and thanked Bhagelu, an overseas based Guyanese, for his support.
