DEAR EDITOR,
I was extremely astonished to see Ms. Volda Lawrence’s signature on the GECOM published District 4 Regional results on the GECOM website. In no other regional results has this occurred. The ROs name, signature, date and stamp are the only officials on the other documents.
In addition, due to the breach in the electoral process in Region 4, it is imperative that a revote be taken at the Region 4 polling stations associated with the incomplete statement of polls to ascertain with surety a credible final count of the pending ballots. Specifically, the absence of the observers’ presence over the last few days brings into question the integrity of the boxes associated with missing data. In the absence of such a focused revote, there will always be some degree of doubt associated with the final results due to the previous removal of these pending boxes associated with finalising the establishment of the statement of polls to complete the electoral process.
Sincerely,
Mr. Jamil Changlee
Chairman
