Newly crowned South/Central Essequibo T/20 champions, Aurora Knight Riders, last Sunday erected a billboard in the beautiful community of
Aurora, much to the delight of villagers. The board which will serve to highlight the beginning and end of the village was the brain child of President of the club Mr. Reshad Ally.
At the simple ceremony, Mr. Ally told the many residents gathered that the club saw it fitting to give back something tangible to the community. He further remarked that over the past few years, the club would have executed many activities, all for the benefit of the villagers. The Knight Riders who are also the South Essequibo 40-overs champions have been providing an avenue for the youths to harness their talent in a way that will only serve to enhance the image of the community.
The club whose next assignment is a coast-wide T/20 tournament, would like to thank all their supporters, friends and well wishers for the massive support given and vowed to keep the flag of honestly, fairness and discipline flying even higher. The board was made possible by Mr. Awaaz Ali, Timure Speedboat Service, Jojo Mechanical Workshop among other supporters.
