A Corentyne man who is accused of killing a fellow resident has pleaded guilty to the lesser count of manslaughter
Vejai Rickman, of Corriverton appeared before Justice Simone Morris Ramlall in the Berbice High Court. He is accused of causing the death of Muhamed Assad Abdul also of Corriverton which occurred on October 29, 2017 at Corriverton.
However Rickman, who was being represented by attorney at Law Chandra Sohan, pleaded not guilty to murder, but guilty to the lesser count of manslaughter.
He will have to return to court on Tuesday when State Prosecutor Seeta Bissoondial will address the court.
