Two Guyanese from the Banks DIH Karate club, located at Thirst Park have been selected to represent the Caribbean Karate Federation (CKF) at the
World Union Karate Federation (WUKF) Championship in Poland from July 1st – 5th, 2020. In excess of 2000 athletes from approximately forty (40) countries will be participating in the event.
The two athletes from Guyana, selected based on their performances are: Manzoor Ali and Duane Peters who won gold and silver medals, respectively at the Guyana Senior National Karate Championships 2019 in the under 75 kg category.
