Ambassador of the United States of America to Guyana, Sarah-Ann Lynch, yesterday paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs, Karen Cummings.
“Ambassador Lynch and Dr. Cummings discussed ongoing projects ahead of national elections, including technical assistance provided to the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) by the International Republican Institute (IRI),” the ministry disclosed.
It continued: “Notably, the United States recently facilitated a two-day training session for local media personnel in preparation for elections. The Ambassador also shared that there has been an increase in American companies interested in investing in Guyana.”
