As part of its Sports for Development and Culture, which is being held every Sunday at the Edwin’s United Sport Ground in Waramadong, the D.C.
Caesar Fox Secondary School staged a football match between Kamarang Combined U-15 female and Jawan combined U-15 female.
The game provided much entertainment for the fans with Kamarang Combined coming from a goal down in the first half to secure a 4-4 draw.
Colita Daniels put Jawan Combined ahead in the 12th minute before Glendy Lewis drew Kamarang Combined level three minutes later. Odil Henry handed Jawan Combined the lead once again when she found the back of the net in the 18th minute, but Lewis found the equaliser when she blasted home her second from within the area in the 20th minute. Shevonie Henry scored in the 24th minute to give Jawan Combined a 3-2 lead at the break.
Lewis completed her hat-trick just moments into the second half when she slotted home in the 30th minute to draw Kamarang Combined level once again. Kamarang Combined took the lead for the first time as Sue Edwards netted in the 44th minute, however Kendra Williams equalized in the final minute of the contest.
Prior to the game, HM of DC Caesar Fox Secondary, Indra Granes, delivered a talk on teenage pregnancy since it is a common issue in the District.
