The body of 50-year-old Mark Burkett, of Kaneville, East Bank Demerara (EDB) was found earlier yesterday dumped in a clump of bushes on an unoccupied house lot.
Police said that they received a call from an individual notifying them of the body.
They immediately ventured out to the area to carry out the necessary investigations and retrieve the body.
Detectives are treating the case as a homicide since the man’s body bore multiple marks of violence.
No arrests have been made so far but ranks are tracking two suspects who may be responsible for the man’s death.
Burkett was described as an easy-going person who did odd jobs around the community of Kaneville. He was last seen “walking about the community” the day before his body was found.
