DEAR EDITOR,
I would like for your newspaper to do an expose on the death of the outbound passenger who passed away yesterday morning at the airport. The airport had no defibrillator nor staff appropriately trained to assist in an emergency. How can this be when Guyana is on the cusps of being one of the richest country in the Caribbean. The health care system on the whole is lacking but cannot continue like this. It’s absolutely mind-blowing that an international airport isn’t equipped to respond appropriately to a cardiac emergency.
