Albion Community Center U15 cricket team whipped Port Mourant Community Center in their latest game of the Mike’s Pharmacy Under-15 cricket competition organised by the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) and being played in Berbice.
In their latest game played at the Albion Community Centre Ground the home team batted and beat Port Mourant by 104 runs. Albion batted first and posted a challenging 231 all out in their 50 overs.
National U15 batsman Tameshwar Mahadeo made 56, with Afraz Budhoo making an unbeaten 32, while Manoo Inasie contributed 28 and Afraz Kadir 25.
Bowling for Port Mourant, Rampertab Ramnauth and R. Budnaha took 3 wickets each while R. Bharrat chipped in with 2.
Port Mourant in reply were dismissed for 127 in 47.3 overs with West Indies Under-15 batsman Rampertab Ramnauth scoring 46.
Bowling for Albion, left-arm-spinner Kumar Deopersaud bagged 3 wickets and he was supported by off-spinners Tameshwar Mangal, Mahadeo and Kadir with 2 each.
