Albion Community Center Cricket Club (ACCCC) defeated Blairmont Community Center by 18 runs to book their place in the semi-finals of the Ramnaresh Sarwan U-17 50 Overs Cricket Tournament in Berbice.
Played at the Albion Community Centre Ground, the home team batted first and made 134 all out in 46.2 of their allotted 50 Overs.
Tameshwar Mahadeo top scored with 46, while Leon Cecil contributed 18.
Bowling for Blairmont, Aakash Harilall took 3 wickets and was supported by Anthony Sukhra and Saheed Baksh with 2 each.
In reply, Blairmont were dismissed for 116 in 42 overs. Marvin Prashad led the way with 55 with Datyah France making 19.
Bowling for Albion Left-arm-spinner Kumar Deopersaud and leg-spinner Parvesh Ganesh took 3 wickets each and were well backed up by leg-spinner Surendra Ramcharitar and off-spinner Cecil with 2 apiece.
Albion will now meet old rival Port Mourant in the semi-final today, at the Albion Community Center.
