The distraught mother of 17-year-old Zenai Tromes, of Eversham Village, Corentyne is praying for the safety of her daughter, after the teen failed to return home after leaving to attend a party on December 24, 2019.
The teen’s mother, Onanza Haynes, told Kaieteur News that her daughter never ran away from home before. She does not know if the teen has a boyfriend since she never told her mother about being in any relationship.
Ms. Haynes stated that her daughter left home Christmas Eve night around 23:00hrs with a friend claiming that they were going to a party not too far away.
However after waking up Christmas morning and realising that her child was not at home, she then called her daughter’s friend and asked if her daughter slept by her. The friend replied in the negative.
Ms. Haynes stated that it is her belief that her daughter is being held against her will since Zenai is not a rude or problematic teen.
“I am pleading with whoever has my child to please let her go because as a mother I don’t want anything to happen to her. I know my child and if you let her go she will come home…I am begging whoever has her to let her go.”
Anyone with information about the teen’s whereabouts is asked to contact the nearest police station, or her mother Onanza Haynes on telephone numbers – 668-1732, 674-0876, 689-0961
