Dear Editor
The news that two former Windies cricketing legends – Clive Lloyd ( now to be referred to as Sir Clive) and Gordon Greenidge – were honoured in Her Majesty, the Queen’s New Year Honour List is just fantastic!
With West Indies on an upward swing, as apparent by the just concluded ODI and T20 Tournaments in India, the honoring of these gentlemen might be the impetus needed to get cricket West Indies moving again.
Heartiest congratulations to Sir Clive and Mr. Greenidge. You have made our cricket proud by your respective honour, which you richly deserve.
May your honour be an inspiration to our young and upcoming cricketers.
Long live West Indies cricket!
